Sunday 1st July "Picnic in the Park" various events starting at 10.30 am till 4pm. Free entry event with entertainment and competitions for the whole family, includes bouncy castle, face painting, badge making, a treasure hunt, story teller, Jo Jingles childrens entertainment, and the animal man, with kids 5 a side football tournament. Organised by Walsall Council with support from the Friends of Blackwood Park and Rosies helping hands charity.

"The link church" has been meeting for evening service since June 2007 at the community centre, Anchor meadow in Aldridge. The Pastor is Douglas miller and April Miller, who live locally in Shelfield. We plan to meet on a regular basis at Aldridge community centre as a new and growing church in the area.

We meet sunday evenings at 6:30 and also the Harvest group meets each wednesday evening at 7:30 in the club rooms just opposite the centre. All are welcome.
Sunday the 8th July BOBBY BALL of the Cannon and Ball famous duo is coming to speak at the centre. Bobby who is now a commited christian gives a dialogue about his life and talks about how he came to know Jesus as his Saviour. we are looking forward very much to this event and to invite as many people as possible. Pirate Ship Push complete with pirates: Saturday 14th July from Morrison�s in Anchor Road, Aldridge at 12 Noon by road to Walsall Gallery Square. They should arrive in Walsall around 2pm (hopefully!!). The ship has been hand made over a number of weeks by a small team of loyal volunteers. They will be collecting donations along the route to raise money for Rosies Helping Hands.
