Friday Walsall Handspinners meet every Friday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Anchorage Club ( opposite the Community Centre) in Aldridge. A friendly and informal group of all ages who share their skills and interests in working with any type of fibre including wool, silk, cotton, dog hair, cashmere, angora, linen and man made fibres.
Friday Night Line Dancing Social Night complete with a little tuition held at Aldridge Community Centre from 7pm until 10pm. Sujeet Desai is 26 years old and plays several musical instruments and has also taken part and won several special olympic medals. He also happens to have Down's syndrome. He got married in 2007 to Carrie ( also with Down's syndrome ) and together they appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show to advocate that having Down's syndrome means that they enjoy their life, just as much as anyone else.
Please come along and hear Sujeets story and hear him play for a wonderful inspirational evening.
