Friday Walsall Handspinners meet every Friday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Anchorage Club ( opposite the Community Centre) in Aldridge. A friendly and informal group of all ages who share their skills and interests in working with any type of fibre including wool, silk, cotton, dog hair, cashmere, angora, linen and man made fibres.

The classes are for children of Reception age upwards and last an hour proving fun in an informal setting and they are introducing children to a selection of Musical tastes and dances. Emma who runs the dance classes, teaches at the local school and has her own dance academy and she has had lots of experience with children with special needs having done work for MENCAP. Walsall Council has commissioned consultants to produce Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plan of Aldridge.
As part of this, consultants are hosting a short talk and a walking tour of the area on Wednesday 6th May from 5pm to approximately 8pm at the small meeting room in Aldridge Community Centre.
The tour is intended to allow interested groups and individuals the opportunity to raise any issues with the Conservation Area and inform the understanding of the Area�s heritage and environment. Places are limited, so please could interested individuals confirm attendance with Daniel Carins directly on the details below. There will be a further six-week period to comment on draft documents when they are available over the summer.
