NOVEMBER 2009 ARCHIVE
MondayMonday PROUD Dance Classes, 4.30 � 5.30pm At Tynings Lane Church Tynings Lane, Aldridge, WS9 0AS. Every Monday evening during school term time only. The classes are for children of Reception age upwards and last an hour proving fun in an informal setting and they are introducing children to a selection of Musical tastes and dances. Emma who runs the dance classes, teaches at the local school and has her own dance academy and she has had lots of experience with children with special needs having done work for MENCAP. These classes are totally FREE to children with Down�s syndrome and their siblings or just �2 for per child. Email jo@proudwalsall.org or text or phone 07951019506 to book a place. Tuesday Little Steps Gym organised by Thao Lam. special offer for Mums and Babies up to 15 months "Four sessions for � 12.00". A saving of �2 over 4 weeks. Telephone: 01922 655569 Thursday 8.30 pm Walsall Astronomical Society meeting, a small group of stargazers who meet there every Thursday for talks, slide shows, to look at the sky through telescopes or just to chat over a beer. Rushall Olympic Football Club, Dales Lane, Rushall, Walsall, WS4 1LJ Thursday evening pub quiz at The WhiteHouse in Aldridge 9pm start with a �15 meal voucher to be won plus win free beer, also at end of quiz a chance to win cash anything from �50 to �80, this is a fun quiz so not to serious, but come early to get a seat. FridayFriday Walsall Handspinners meet every Friday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Anchorage Club ( opposite the Community Centre) in Aldridge. A friendly and informal group of all ages who share their skills and interests in working with any type of fibre including wool, silk, cotton, dog hair, cashmere, angora, linen and man made fibres. Spinning - Fleece Sorting - Basket Making - Weaving - Dyeing - Peg Looms Felting - Knitting - Paper Making - Crochet - Tapestry - Tatting - Rug Making Japanese Maru Dai Braids - Inkle and Tablet Weaving....all Visitors are very welcome.

The event will be hosted by wine expert Rob Price from The Birmingham Wine School and starts at 7.30p.m. We will be tasting wines from around the world and it promises to be a fun and informative evening. Saturday 14th November Bliss Yoga is having an event at Leigh Road Church, off Mellish Road, Walsall, WS4 2EN. The session is called 'Treat yourself to a morning of stress relief and relaxation' 10am - 1pm. We will be exploring yoga, movement, breathing and relaxation and costs �12. Prior booking essential. Sunday 15th November Christmas Gift Fayre From 11am till 4pm. At the Aldridge Compass Suites in the Masonic Hall, The Green, Aldridge. His Grotto is located in the Heritage Centre at Brownhills West Railway Station where he invites you to come along and see him. Why not come along and join in the fun and experience the festive atmosphere on the Colliery Line your local historic heritage railway? Enjoy a ride through the beautiful Chasewater Country Park on the train hauled by one of our vintage engines and then visit Santa in his grotto which his elves have built especially for you.
