Great News.....What to do with the kids during the school holidays?
Why not bring them along to Chasewater Railway ?In addition to our normal weekend services we will be running trains from now until the 2nd September every Tuesday and Thursday see Chasewater Railway

Wednesday, 11th August, Drop-In Surgery at Streetly Library, Blackwood Road from 2.00 - 3.00pm. If you live in the Streetly, Pheasey, Aldridge or Walsall Wood, and you have an issue you want to raise, come along and discuss it with your new Neighbourhood Area Manager John Morris who promises that something will be done. Monday PROUD Dance Classes, 4.30 � 5.30pm At Tynings Lane Church
Tynings Lane, Aldridge, WS9 0AS. Every Monday evening during school term time only. The classes are for children of Reception age upwards and last an hour proving fun in an informal setting and they are introducing children to a selection of Musical tastes and dances. Emma who runs the dance classes, teaches at the local school and has her own dance academy and she has had lots of experience with children with special needs having done work for MENCAP. First Sunday of each month, Walsall Group of Advanced Motorists.
The Walsall Group has been established in Walsall for many years and has enabled hundreds of motorists, of all ages, to improve their driving skills and pass their I.A.M. Advanced Driving Test. Our friendly group, which is manned by fully qualified volunteers, meets at Aldridge Community Centre on the first Sunday of every month at 9.30 a.m. If you would like to enjoy driving more, make yourself a safer driver, drive more economically and have the opportunity of discounted motor insurance, discounted AA and RAC membership and lots more, then come and meet us. contact us about our next Institute of Advanced Motorists course, please ring us for full details of how to join.

Additional / future Aldridge 2010 Events

Monday, 13th September, meeting of the Aldridge Local History Society at Aldridge Parish Church which starts at 7.30pm. Patricia Boyd will be talking about 'And the Bride Wore.....' - a look at wedding customs and traditions.

17th September, Walsall Hospice annual Starlight Walk takes place in Walsall Arboretum. The magical evening will start at 7pm, when participants will complete 5 circuits of the Arboretum, approx. 5.5 miles. The walk is suitable for people of all fitness levels, and the pathway is suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Dogs on leads are welcome too. To register for the walk please go to our Online Registrations website, see below, before the 10th September. Registration will cost �10 per family (Up to 2 adults and 2 children,) �5 per adult and �2.50 for extra children. You will then receive your information and sponsorship pack so that you can start getting sponsorship for the walk. All money you raise will go to help run the new Walsall hospice when it opens in February 2011.
