Pets home alone and home security service
I am a retired Police Officer with 30 years exemplary service, I can come to your home when you are on holiday, away for the weekend or even at work during the day to look after your pets, refresh their water and food in the comfort of their own home rather than sending them away to be cared for. If requested i can walk your dogs. I will keep an eye on your house and ensure it is secure, put your bins in and out if required, check all round your property and garden, and even water your house plants if you wish. I have three sons who have over the years kept everything from ferrets, rats, mice, through to snakes, lizards and chickens so am experienced in handling most things. Please contact Mark on 0797 1094712 or Email here for further details.

We are caring, kind and professional
Lynn Rudd - Head Groomer and Proprietor has many years experience in running a successful grooming salon in Great Wyrley which is now run by her Sister and staff. She has groomed well over 10,000 dogs, all types of breed and all shapes and sizes.
Lynn loves dogs and is able to deal with all breeds of dogs. She follows tried and tested methods of grooming, which puts the dogs comfort and well being first. She will check every dog that comes to the Salon and talk through any requirements or concerns the owner may have. On collection of your dog Lynn will discuss how your dog has coped with the visit, how it has behaved and what we at the Salon have done.
All Lynn’s staff will share the same high values of caring for your dog whilst in our care. Your dog is fully insured and will not put in a cage during its stay.
We use a range of professional Wahl shampoos dependant on the breed of dog and its coat condition. Some breeds of dogs have particularly sensitive skins and we will talk to you about the shampoo we will be using. We also have available flee treatment shampoos and we are happy to use your dogs own medicated shampoo if under treatment from the vet.
We work to appointments to ensure each dog is allocated a suitable amount of time. The time we allocate will vary from breed to breed, and will depend on the condition of your dog’s coat, its age and general well being. Dogs that have knotted and have poorly kept coats take considerably longer to groom; this means additional time is spent in de-matting the coat prior to bathing and will increase the price of the visit
We are used to handling nervous dogs and puppies and we may recommend shorter visits at first to acclimatise the dog to the grooming environment. With powerful breeds like Staffies and Rockweilers we will normally ask the owner to stay on the first visit and take part in the grooming process!
All the information about the dog and its owner are recorded onto appointment cards so we have contact details and a history of your dog visits .For every visit we record any special instructions you may give us as to the finish required, the shampoo we use, the dogs behavior and which member of our staff groomed the dog.
We will recommend a frequency of visit suitable for your dog, generally this will be every 12-14 weeks but varies from breed to breed. Regular visits to the Salon supported by frequent combing and brushing at home will keep your dogs coat in excellent condition and make the overall grooming experience for your dog very enjoyable.

The Aldridge Voluntary Animal Rescue
If you live in the Aldridge, Streetly or Walsall area and would like a Dog rehoming or can offer a rescued Dog a good home, please contact:

The RSPCA Walsall is a self funding branch of the RSPCA. We take in animals for rehoming and offer veterinary welfare assistance to people in financial difficulty. We do not have an animal centre, so to rehome our animals, we rely on volunteers who foster for us. People foster dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and small animals in their own homes. We are always in need of more people to help us with this as we never have enough homes to meet the demands, especially in this current economic climate. All supplies and veterinary costs are covered by the RSPCA Walsall, all you need to give is time, love and patience.
RSPCA Walsall also need people to help fundraise to keep the Walsall branch running, and we often do fundraising in the Aldridge WS9 area. Although we cover Streetly we don't have many contacts to help us within that area, so we would be really happy to hear from anyone who may want to volunteer, or has knowledge which can help us, such as shops or businesses that may have a collection box for us.
