The centre will receive household waste which residents are unable to place in their "wheelie" bins, such as garden waste or bulky household items. The containers for household wastes are segregated to allow maximum recycling by type of product.
Residents in Walsall borough are encouraged to recycle as much as possible to help meet challenging recycling targets set by the government. The more that is recycled, the less will have to go to expensive landfill sites. Please separate your waste by material type prior to arrival on site in order to save you time and make it easier to recycle in the appropriate container.

Types of plastic
There are about 50 different groups of plastics, with hundreds of different varieties. All types of plastic are recyclable in terms of technology, but not in terms of daily practice. Trade waste
No Trade Waste – Strictly no trade or business waste is permitted on the site.
There is currently a height restriction barrier at Aldridge Household Waste Recycling Centre which prevents access to vehicles of greater height than 5 feet 7 inches / 1.7 metres. This is a measure to prevent trade waste being disposed of at the site
You may be refused access to the sites if the operator suspects you are disposing of trade waste. If this happens, you should contact Street Pride on 01922 653344 for advice.
